Food poisoning

Some things to know about food poisoning

After eating or drinking contaminated food, the patient suddenly have symptoms: nausea and vomiting immediately, sometimes even bloody vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea several times (of water, can bloody) , may not have a fever or a temperature over 380C.

The symptoms of food poisoning usually occurs after baby eat or drink a couple of food containing the bacteria. Signs of typical food poisoning are: diarrhea, vomiting, crying constantly, even fever.
Causes of food poisoning
There are 3 main causes of poisoning commonly, it is due to food preservation chemicals (pesticides, chemicals against insects …), due to the chemicals used in food processing (eg colorings in cakes, sticky rice, wine …) and by microorganisms.
How to treat the food poisoning?
Before a person has symptom of the food poisoning, if they still sober, you should eliminate all food toxins out as quickly as possible, using two fingers to use a throat swab or small spoon or toothpick into pon native tongue (carefully avoiding scratches mouth) to induce vomiting. When patients vomiting, chest they head lower, to avoid choking the lungs.
If the patient is severely dehydrated, high fever or bloody stools, they must be taken to hospital to be transmitted and treated promptly.

To prevent poisoning, everyone needs to be aware of hygiene in the food, processing and trading in food. Make good 8 following:
– Should know clearly about vegetables, mushrooms, fish, etc to distinguish the type of non-toxic and toxic. Absolutely no strange foods.
– Food for food must be carefully chosen, must be fresh, not crushed. No food spoilage, not picking mushrooms in the woods or along the road to eat.
– Prepare carefully food: cooked, boiled, remove the parts suspected of poisoning (peeled cassava and boiled water before soaking, remove the skin, head, intestines, bile fish before cooking …).
– Keep clean bowls, dishes, pots pantry. Eat cooked food immediately. Food is not eaten should boil again before storing in the refrigerator. When food must still bring to boil again before eating.
– Eliminates flies, cockroaches, rats … Absolutely not let them exposed to food.
– Fruits and vegetables must be washed, soaked and peeled before eating.
– Absolutely no eating puffer fish. No drinking alcohol.
– Wash hands with soap before eating or preparing food processing.
